“When I invited Andrew McAnsh to come play a show at The Loft last year, I knew it was going to be excellent. However the experience we all had in the room as this amazing band of musicians played on stage was unique and transformative. I still hear about this show from those who attended over a year later, and I’m so excited that the Algoma U Music Program is able to host this band again! They are truly some of the most talented and innovative musicians on the Jazz scene at the moment and I can’t wait to see you all there! “

Come celebrate the release of Andrew McAnsh’s awaited recording of “Music Of The Great Lakes”. Following a successful and transcending performance at The Loft in early 2023, McAnsh and his group are coming back on March 30th 2024, for an event you won’t want to miss.
Join us to experience some of the most exciting contemporary jazz on the Canadian scene. With unique family ties to Sault Ste. Marie, Toronto trumpeter Andrew McAnsh performs music inspired by the land, Indigenous traditions and stories, and personal experiences.
