Anya Mallinger received a Bachelor's Degree in Performance from the University of Toronto and a Master's Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Western Ontario, having studied with the noted pedagogue Lorand Fenyves. She was a participant in the Banff School of Advanced Studies (Winter Cycle) as a member of the Ryuka String Quartet and has participated in many masterclasses with internationally renowned artists. In addition she received Teacher Certification as a Suzuki Instructor. Anya has had wide variety of performance experience including: duo chamber concerts with her husband Stephen, and recitals with her father, noted pianist William Aide. Before relocating to Sault Ste. Marie she was a member of Orchestra London. 

Anya Mallinger is an instructor of violin, viola and chamber music at the Algoma Conservatory String Academy. She is also active as a perfomer in several professional faculty ensembles at the Conservatory as well as Concertmaster of the Sault Symphony and the Algoma Chamber Orchestra.
