Lisa Parlee holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Saskatchewan with Great Distinction (First in Class). She also holds an Associateship in Piano Teaching from the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) and while in England studied for two years with Raymond Fischer, an instructor at the Royal College of Music in London. She was an active accompanist in Saskatchewan with the Cecilian Singers, the University of Saskatchewan and at the Saskatchewan Provincial Music Festival and is now an active accompanist with faculty and students at the Conservatory and through the Kiwanis Music Festival. Lisa is also the president of the Sault Ste. Marie branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association. In 2007 she relocated to Sault Ste. Marie along with her husband, Warren Johnston, who is a Professor of History at Algoma University.
