Music from SIX – the hit British musical comedy inspired by the SIX wives of Henry VIII

A 60 min. musical presentation featuring songs from SIX - as dessert is served

As you arrive music is in the air with “Dinner Music with Denine” the multi-talented director of the show – Denine Williams – and an excellent jazz band with Josh Norling – Saxophone; Brandon Ruch – guitar; Zach Smith – bass and Nick James - drums. Kick back to the music with your complimentary welcome prosecco, and while you enjoy a delicious four course dinner prepared by Rosetta Sicoli of Sault Ste. Marie’s beloved and much-missed restaurant “A Thymely Manner”.
As dessert is being served, a fabulous one hour, high energy musical review begins, featuring songs from the hit musical SIX and a glimpse into the lives of the six wives of Henry the VIII.
The Performers:
Melody Shafiee, Elaine Lai, Gianna Spironello, Isabella Nardi, Maisie Nelson and Hazel Berlinguette - with Choreography by Isabella Nardi
Prepare to be stunned. The voices of these young women, the music, the choreography and the costumes are fabulous. Showcasing Algoma Conservatory of Music’s advanced musical theatre training program – Broadway Bound, directed by Denine Williams, “Dinner at SIX” may prove to be the highlight of your summer.
This outstanding group of talented young artists has collectively appeared in more than 20 musicals.
Two of this year’s graduates are going on to pursue music at the post-secondary level: Melody Shafiee has been accepted with a generous scholarship directly into the University of Toronto’s vocal performance program, one of the finest in Canada, and Gianna Spironello will be attending New York University (NYU) in Manhattan for Musical Theater - after placing at the top of her division in both Musical Theater and Classical Voice at the Ontario Provincial Music Festival in June. NYU is one of the elite training schools for Musical Theatre in the U.S. Both are students of Dr. Carolyn Hart at the Algoma Conservatory.
