He has also flourished as a recording artist and performer in his own right, sharing stages with the likes of Brett Kissel, Jocelyn Alice, and Shawn Hook
KYLE MCKEARNEY
Kyle McKearney is Canada’s biggest breakthrough independent artist of 2022. His debut album “Down-Home” has already garnered over 1.3+ million streams globally and has been nominated for 14x awards in a year. Kyle put his name on the map when he placed 2nd in Alberta Music’s prestigious “Project Wild” artist development program, awarding him $75,000 towards his career. Since then, he has taken this momentum on the road to perform with names like: The Black Crowes, Dean Brody, George Canyon, Brett Kissel, Terri Clark, Our Lady Peace, High Valley and many more, all across Canada.
Born and raised in small-town northern British Columbia, Kyle McKearney grew up immersed in Country and Bluegrass music. He followed that passion by first moving to Nashville upon finishing high school, where he absorbed music city’s atmosphere. He made his way back to Canada where he started to truly focus on his career in music. After several musical projects Kyle then returned to his Americana roots and wrote / co-produced his debut album “Down-Home”.
Kyle is truly paving a way for the Americana / Alt-Country genres in Canada and beyond. The momentum from his first record is taking him and the band to AmericanaFest in both the USA and the UK later this year. Kyle will be continuously releasing music throughout this year from his highly anticipated sophomore album, due February 2023.
LYDIA SUTHERLAND
Lydia Sutherland bypasses traditional musical format borders and boundaries. The Nashville based, Québec-born singer, songwriter has generated millions of streams independently and has already emerged as one of the most hotly sought-after songwriters and collaborators in the business. Through her own grit, determination, and talent, she has built a diverse songwriting catalog highlighted by “Hold Me Back” with Robyn Ottolini, “Mercy” with Kyle McKearney, “Break Up With A Friend” with Chelsea Berman, and “Ends with Y” with Jake Davey—which soared to #1 on the iTunes Top Country Singles Chart Australia. Thus far, it’s been quite the journey for Lydia as a songwriter, but as an artist—she has only just begun. Lydia’s work ethic and vocal prowess coupled with her undeniable flair for penning hit songs secured her a label deal with Universal Music Canada in 2022.
