One of North America's finest cellists - playing one of the world's greatest cellos - the 1707 "Countess of Stainlein Ex-Paganini Stradivarius - in a genre defying program with one of Canada's finest Bandoneon players.
The Stradivatango project brings together two exceptional Canadian artists: Stéphane Tétreault, recognized as the prodigy of the cello, and Denis Plante, a leading figure of the bandoneon in Canada.
Together, they explore the world of tango with unmatched passion and virtuosity. Their repertoire consists of Argentine tango classics as well as works specially composed for their unique duo. Their performances alternate between intimate moments and explosive passages, capturing the full emotional richness of tango, from its mesmerizing melancholy to its effervescent energy. Their interpretations are marked by a constant quest for authenticity and creativity, offering the audience a musical experience that is both profound and unforgettable.
